আজ ‘Ahmed Pipul’ চ্যানেল ১০০তম ভিডিওর মাইলফলক স্পর্শ করল। অনেকের কাছে এই সংখ্যাটি খুব সাধারণ মনে হতে পারে, কিন্তু আমার কাছে খুবই স্পেশাল। কারণ আমি মনে করি এই ১০০টি ভিডিও এক একটি সত্যের দলিল।
আমার কন্টেন্ট ক্রিয়েশন জগতে আসাটা কোনো আকস্মিক সিদ্ধান্ত ছিল না। ডে ওয়ান থেকেই আমার এবং আমার টিমের চেষ্টা ছিলো বাংলা ভাষায় এমন একটি প্ল্যাটফর্ম তৈরি করতে, যা নিছক বিনোদন নয়, বরং তথ্য ও জ্ঞানের একটি নির্ভরযোগ্য উৎস হবে। যেখানে তথ্যের গভীরতা থাকবে, আর বিশ্লেষণের ধার থাকবে।
আজকের এই বিশেষ পর্বে আমি আপনাদের সেই পেছনের গল্পটি বলতে চাই। কেন মূলধারার সাংবাদিকতা এবং দীর্ঘদিনের বিজ্ঞাপন ক্যারিয়ারের পরও ইউটিউবে এই জার্নি শুরু করলাম? কীভাবে আমরা গড়ে তুলেছি বাংলা ভাষার এক আধুনিক এনসাইক্লোপিডিয়া?
আসুন, এই সত্য অনুসন্ধানের যাত্রার পাতাগুলো আজ একসাথে উল্টে দেখি।
আপনারা জানেন, আমি দীর্ঘ ১৭ বছর ‘এনটিভি’তে (NTV) কাজ করেছি। সাংবাদিকতার এই দীর্ঘ জীবনে আমি দেখেছি, কীভাবে একটি সংবাদ বা ঘটনা ইতিহাসের মোড় ঘুরিয়ে দিতে পারে। পাশাপাশি, বিজ্ঞাপন ও কমিউনিকেশন সেক্টরে দীর্ঘদিন কাজ করার সুবাদে ভিজুয়াল স্টোরিটেলিং ও দৃশ্যপটের মাধ্যমে গল্প বলার কলাকৌশলটা আমার আয়ত্তে ছিল।
অনেকে হয়তো ভাবেন, ইউটিউব মানেই হয়তো হাতে একটা মোবাইল নিয়ে ভ্লগিং শুরু করা। কিন্তু আমার ক্ষেত্রে গল্পটা একেবারেই ভিন্ন ছিল। আমি যখন এই চ্যানেলটি শুরু করি, তখন আমার প্রস্তুতি ছিল সম্পূর্ণ। শুরু থেকেই আমি ব্যবহার করেছি হাই-এন্ড ক্যামেরা, প্রফেশনাল লাইটিং এবং সাউন্ড প্যানেল। কারণ, আমি বিশ্বাস করি, কন্টেন্ট বা বিষয়বস্তু যেমন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ, তার উপস্থাপনাও ঠিক ততটাই মানসম্মত হওয়া উচিত। আমি চেয়েছিলাম আমার দর্শকরা যেন আন্তর্জাতিক মানের ভিডিও দেখার একটা অভিজ্ঞতা পায়।
কিন্তু প্রশ্ন হলো, কেন এই প্ল্যাটফর্ম?
টিভিতে সংবাদের নির্দিষ্ট সময়সীমা থাকে। চাইলেও অনেক গভীরে গিয়ে বিস্তারিত বলা সম্ভব হয় না সেখানে। অনেক সময় পলিসি বা রেস্ট্রিকশনের কারণে সত্যের অনেক দিক আড়ালে থেকে যায়। আমি অনুভব করতাম, মানুষ এখন আর শুধু ‘হেডলাইন’ বা শিরোনামে সন্তুষ্ট নয়; তারা ঘটনার পেছনের কার্যকারণ বা ‘Why’ এবং ‘How’ জানতে চায়।
এই তাগিদ থেকেই আমার মনে হলো, এমন একটা স্বাধীন প্ল্যাটফর্ম দরকার যেখানে সময়ের কোনো বাঁধাধরা নিয়ম থাকবে না। যেখানে আমি কোনো চাপ ছাড়াই তথ্যের মূলে গিয়ে গবেষণা করতে পারব। আমার লক্ষ্য ছিল, বাংলা ভাষায় এমন কন্টেন্ট তৈরি করা, যা তথ্যের বিচারে হবে নির্ভুল এবং বিশ্লেষণে হবে অদ্বিতীয়।
এই যে স্বাধীনভাবে কাজ করার কথা বলছি, এর সবচেয়ে বড় সুবিধা হলো—আমরা এমন সব বিষয় নিয়ে কাজ করতে পেরেছি, যা সচরাচর আলোচনায়ই আসে না। গত ৯৯টি ভিডিওতে আমরা পৃথিবী, ইতিহাস এবং জিও-পলিটিক্সর এমন কিছু অধ্যায় উন্মোচন করেছি, যা আপনাদের চিন্তার জগতকে প্রসারিত করেছে। চলুন, এমন ৫টি বিষয় স্মরণ করি যা আমাদের এই ‘এনসাইক্লোপিডিয়া’ গড়ার স্বপ্নকে আরও শক্তিশালী করেছে।
আধুনিক যুগে আমরা যখন প্রযুক্তি ছাড়া অচল, তখন আমেরিকার পেনসিলভেনিয়ায় ‘অ্যামিশ’ সম্প্রদায় আমাদের দেখিয়েছে ভিন্ন এক জীবনদর্শন। আমি যখন তাদের নিয়ে গবেষণা করি, অবাক হয়েছিলাম তাদের প্রযুক্তিবর্জিত জীবন দেখে। তারা বিদ্যুৎ ব্যবহার করে না, কারণ তারা বিশ্বাস করে এটি পরিবারের সদস্যদের মধ্যে দূরত্ব তৈরি করে। তাদের ঘোড়ার গাড়িতে ব্রেক আছে কিন্তু হর্ন নেই, কারণ হর্ন বাজানোকে তারা অহংকারের প্রতীক মনে করে। এই তথ্যটি আমাদের শেখায়, জীবনের সুখ আসলে প্রযুক্তিতে নয়, বরং সম্পর্কের গভীরতায় নিহিত।
আবার আরেকটি প্রসঙ্গে আসা যাক – বিলাসিতা নাকি মানবসেবা? রোলেক্স (Rolex) নামটা শুনলেই আমাদের চোখে ভেসে ওঠে আভিজাত্য। কিন্তু আপনারা জেনে অবাক হয়েছিলেন যে, এই বিলিয়ন ডলারের কোম্পানিটি আসলে ব্যক্তি মালিকানাধীন নয়। এর প্রতিষ্ঠাতা হ্যান্স উইলসডর্ফ, যিনি নিজে একজন অনাথ ছিলেন, তার কোম্পানির মালিকানা একটি চ্যারিটেবল ট্রাস্ট বা দাতব্য সংস্থার হাতে দিয়ে যান। অর্থাৎ, রোলেক্সের আয়ের একটি বিশাল অংশ ব্যয় হয় সমাজসেবা ও অনাথদের কল্যাণে। ব্যবসার আড়ালে এমন মহানুভবতার গল্প আমাদের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গিই বদলে দেয়।
কনটেন্ট তৈরিতে গিয়ে আমরা মুদ্রার উল্টো পিঠও দেখেছি। সোমালি জলদস্যুদের আমরা কেবল অপরাধী হিসেবেই চিনেছি। কিন্তু জাতিসংঘের রিপোর্ট এবং আন্তর্জাতিক গবেষণা ঘেঁটে আমি আপনাদের দেখিয়েছিলাম এর পেছনের করুণ ইতিহাস। বিদেশি ট্রলারগুলো কীভাবে তাদের সাগরে অবৈধভাবে মাছ শিকার করে স্থানীয়দের জীবিকা ধ্বংস করেছে এবং উন্নত দেশগুলো কীভাবে সেখানে বিষাক্ত বর্জ্য ডাম্পিং করেছে—তা ছিল শিউরে ওঠার মতো। এই গবেষণাটি প্রমাণ করে কোনো ঘটনাই একপাক্ষিকভাবে বিচার করা উচিত নয়।
সম্প্রতি আমি বাংলাদেশের ভূমিকম্প ঝুঁকি নিয়ে যে ভিডিওটি করেছিলাম, তা ছিল মূলত একটি বৈজ্ঞানিক সতর্কবার্তা। ভূতাত্ত্বিকদের মতে, ঢাকা শহর মধুপুর ফল্ট লাইনের খুব কাছে এবং এখানকার মাটি নরম অ্যালুভিয়াল সয়েল দিয়ে গঠিত, যা ভূমিকম্পের কম্পন বহুগুণ বাড়িয়ে দেয়। রিখটার স্কেলে ৭ মাত্রার ভূমিকম্প হলে ঢাকার প্রায় ৩৫ শতাংশ ভবন ধসে পড়ার ঝুঁকি রয়েছে। এই তথ্যগুলো আপনাদের আতঙ্কিত করার জন্য নয়, বরং সচেতন করার জন্য তুলে ধরা হয়েছিল।
অ্যাডিডাস বনাম পুমার গল্পটি ছিল আরো চমকপ্রদ। জুতো পায়ে দিয়ে আমরা হয়তো ভাবিও না এর পেছনের ইতিহাস। আপনারা জেনেছেন, বিশ্বের সেরা দুই স্পোর্টস ব্র্যান্ড অ্যাডিডাস এবং পুমা আসলে দুই ভাই—অ্যাডি ডাসলার এবং রুডলফ ডাসলারের চরম দ্বন্দ্বের ফসল। তাদের সেই পারিবারিক বিরোধ জার্মানির হার্জোজেনাউরাখ শহরকেও দুই ভাগে ভাগ করে দিয়েছিল। এই গল্পটি আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দেয়, প্রতিযোগিতা থেকে যেমন নতুন কিছু সৃষ্টি হয়, তেমনি সম্পর্কের ফাটল ইতিহাসকেও প্রভাবিত করতে পারে।
এই প্রতিটি গল্পের গভীরে যাওয়ার পেছনের কারণ একটাই—সামাজিক দায়বদ্ধতা। বর্তমানে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় তথ্যের অবাধ প্রবাহের যুগে সঠিক এবং ভুল তথ্যের পার্থক্য করা কঠিন হয়ে পড়েছে। অনেকেই ভিউ বা সস্তা জনপ্রিয়তার পেছনে ছুটেছেন। কিন্তু আমি চেয়েছি স্রোতের বিপরীতে হাঁটতে।
আমার লক্ষ্য ছিল, বাংলা ভাষায় এমন একটি আর্কাইভ বা এনসাইক্লোপিডিয়া তৈরি করা, যা আগামী প্রজন্মের জন্য রেফারেন্স হিসেবে কাজ করবে। এজন্য আমি আমার টিমে যুক্ত করেছি দক্ষ রিসার্চার এবং এডিটর। প্রতিটি ভিডিওর পেছনে আমরা ঘণ্টার পর ঘণ্টা সময় ব্যয় করি তথ্য যাচাই-বাছাই করতে। কারণ আমি জানি, আমার দর্শকরা বুদ্ধিদীপ্ত এবং তারা মানের সাথে কখনোই কোনো আপস করতে চান না।
শুরুতে যে বড় অ্যারেঞ্জমেন্ট নিয়ে নেমেছিলাম, তার সার্থকতা আমি খুঁজে পাই আপনাদের কমেন্টে। যখন আপনারা লেখেন, “এই বিষয়টি আগে জানতাম না” বা “আপনার ভিডিও দেখে নতুন করে ভাবতে শিখলাম”—তখনই মনে হয় আমাদের এই প্রচেষ্টা সফল।
১০০ ভিডিওর এই মাইলফলক আমাদের যাত্রার একটা বিরতি মাত্র, শেষ নয়। আমাদের সামনে রয়েছে জ্ঞানের এক বিশাল জগত। আমি স্বপ্ন দেখি, ‘Ahmed Pipul’ প্ল্যাটফর্মটি একদিন বিশ্বের যেকোনো প্রান্তের বাংলাভাষাভাষী মানুষের কাছে তথ্যের সবচেয়ে বিশ্বাসযোগ্য মাধ্যম হয়ে উঠবে।
তবে এই যাত্রায় আপনাদের ভূমিকা অনস্বীকার্য। আপনারা আর কোন কোন বিষয়ে গভীর বিশ্লেষণ দেখতে চান, তা আমাদের জানান।

Greetings everyone. Today ‘Ahmed Pipul’ channel touched the milestone of the 100th video. To many this number may seem very ordinary, but to me it is very special. Because I think these 100 videos are each a document of truth.
My coming into the world of content creation was not any sudden decision. From day one my and my team’s effort was to create such a platform in the Bengali language, which is not mere entertainment, rather will be a reliable source of information and knowledge. Where there will be depth of information, and there will be the edge of analysis. In today’s this special episode I want to tell you that back story. Why after mainstream journalism and a long-time advertising career also started this journey on YouTube? How we have built a modern encyclopedia of the Bengali language? Come, let’s turn the pages of this truth-searching journey together today.
You know, I have worked for 17 long years in ‘NTV’ (NTV). In this long life of journalism, I have seen, how a news or event can change the turn of history. Besides, in the advertising and communication sector long-time working by virtue of, visual storytelling and through scenery story telling techniques were in my control. Many perhaps think, YouTube means maybe taking a mobile in hand and starting vlogging. But in my case the story was completely different. When I started this channel, then my preparation was complete. From the start I have used high-end camera, professional lighting and sound panel. Because, I believe, as content or subject matter is important, its presentation also exactly that much quality-standard should be. I wanted my viewers so that they get an experience of seeing international standard videos.
But question is, why this platform? In TV there is a specific time-limit for news. Wanting also much deep going and in detail saying is not possible there. Many times because of policy or restrictions many sides of truth stay hidden. I used to feel, people now are not satisfied only in ‘headlines’ or titles ; they the reason behind the event or ‘Why’ and ‘How’ want to know. From this urge it felt to me, such an independent platform is needed where there will stay no fixed rules of time. Where I without any pressure in the root of information going research can do. My goal was, to create such content in the Bengali language, which in the judgment of information will be accurate and in analysis will be unique.
This talk of working independently that I am saying, its biggest advantage is—we such all subjects regarding have been able to work, which usually do not even come into discussion. In the past 99 videos we have world, history and geo-politics’ such some chapters uncovered, which has your thinking’s world expanded. Come, let’s recall 5 such subjects which our building this ‘encyclopedia’ dream more strong has made.
In the modern era when we are dysfunctional without technology, then in America’s Pennsylvania ‘Amish’ community has shown us a different life-philosophy. When I do research about them, I was surprised seeing their technology-abandoned life. They do not use electricity, because they believe it creates distance between family members. The story of Adidas versus Puma was even more amazing. Putting shoes on feet we maybe do not even think of its history. You have known, the world’s best two sports brands Adidas and Puma are actually two brothers—Adi Dassler and Rudolf Dassler’s extreme conflict’s result. This story reminds us, as from competition something new is created, likewise a crack in relationship can also influence history.

For this I in my team have added skilled researcher and editor. Behind every video we spend hour after hour time doing information verification. Because I know, my viewers are intelligent and they never want to do any compromise with quality. The success of that big arrangement I descended with in the start, I find in your comments. When you write, “This subject did not know before” or “New thinking learned seeing your video”—then alone our this effort feels successful.
This milestone of 100 videos is only a break of our journey, not the end. Before us stays a huge world of knowledge. I see a dream, ‘Ahmed Pipul’ platform one day will become the most reliable medium of information to Bengali-speaking people of any corner of the world.
