আচ্ছা, ভাবুন তো, রাস্তার পাশে দাঁড়িয়ে আপনি আড্ডা দিচ্ছেন, হঠাৎ কেউ এসে পকেট থেকে আপনার মানিব্যাগটা ছিনিয়ে নিল। যখনই আপনি চিৎকার করে প্রতিবাদ করতে গেলেন, ঠিক তখন সেই চোর উল্টো আপনার দিকে আঙুল তুলে আপনাকেই পকেটমার বলে উঠলো! কেমন লাগবে তখন আপনার? ঠিক এই অদ্ভুত আর অন্যায্য কাজটাই গত ১০০ বছর ধরে ইরানের সাথে করে আসছে পশ্চিমা বিশ্ব।
পুরো পৃথিবী আজ মনে করে ইরান একটি ‘ভিলেন’ কান্ট্রি। কেউ বলে এটি সন্ত্রাসের আঁতুড়ঘর, কেউ বলে এটি বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে বিতর্কিত দেশ। কিন্তু যদি বলি, আসলে এই দেশটি একটি বিশাল আন্তর্জাতিক ষড়যন্ত্রের শিকার? গত একশো বছর ধরে যাকে বারবার ঠকানো হয়েছে, যার সম্পদ প্রকাশ্যে লুট করা হয়েছে এবং যার গণতান্ত্রিক অধিকার কেড়ে নিয়ে উল্টো তাকেই পৃথিবীর সামনে ‘ভিলেন’ সাজিয়ে রাখা হয়েছে!
আজকের ভিডিওতে আমরা কোনো পক্ষ নেব না, বরং ইতিহাসের ধুলো জমা পাতাগুলো উল্টে দেখবো—কীভাবে আজকের এই বিদ্রোহী ইরান তৈরি হলো? এই ভিডিওটি আপনার দীর্ঘদিনের চিন্তাধারা বদলে দিতে পারে। তাই অনুরোধ থাকবে, একদম ওপেন মাইন্ড নিয়ে শেষ পর্যন্ত দেখুন।
ইরানের ট্র্যাজেডি শুরু হয় ১৯০১ সালে। গল্পের খলনায়ক ব্রিটিশ ব্যবসায়ী উইলিয়াম নক্স ডার্সি। তিনি ইরানের তৎকালীন রাজা- শাহ কাজার এর সাথে একটি চুক্তি করেন, যার নাম ‘ডার্সি কনসেশন’। চুক্তিটা ছিল এরকম- ইরানের মাটিতে যত তেল পাওয়া যাবে, তার সব কিছু নিয়ে নিবে ব্রিটেন! ভাবুন তো, সম্পদ আপনার আর লাভ নিচ্ছে অন্য কেউ। ১৯০৮ সালে ইরানে বিশাল তেলের খনি পাওয়া গেল, কিন্তু ইরানের মানুষের ভাগ্যই খুলল না। ব্রিটিশরা ইরানকে তাদের ‘পার্সোনাল পেট্রোল পাম্প’ বানিয়ে ফেলল। ১৯৩১ সালের একটি হিসাব শুনলে মাথা নষ্ট হয়ে যাবে। ব্রিটিশ তেল কোম্পানি সেই বছর মুনাফা করেছিল মাত্র ৩ লাখ ৬৬ হাজার পাউন্ড, কিন্তু তারা ব্রিটিশ সরকারকে ট্যাক্স দিয়েছিল ১০ লাখ পাউন্ড! এটা কিন্তু একশ বছর আগের টাকার মান, বর্তমান ডলারের হিসেবে এটা হয়তো শতগুণ! কিন্তু ব্যাপারটা হলো তেলের মালিক ইরানকে ছিটেফোঁটা দিয়ে বাকি সব টাকা ব্রিটেন নিজেদের পকেটে ভরেছিল। এটা কি ব্যবসা নাকি ডাকাতি?
১৯৫১ সাল। ক্ষমতায় এলেন তেজস্বী নেতা মোহাম্মদ মোসাদ্দেক। প্রধানমন্ত্রী হয়েই ঘোষণা করলেন—”ইরানের তেল ইরানের মানুষের!” তার জনপ্রিয়তায় কেঁপে উঠেছিলো শাহ পাহলভীর সিংহাসন, আর খুলে পড়েছিলো পশ্চিমাদের মুখোশ। ব্রিটেন দেখল আলোচনা বৃথা, তাই সাহায্য চাইল ‘বড় ভাই’ আমেরিকার। সিআইএ আর ব্রিটিশ গোয়েন্দারা মিলে শুরু করল ‘অপারেশন অ্যাজাক্স’। রাজপথে দাঙ্গা বাধিয়ে মোসাদ্দেকের মতো এক গণতান্ত্রিক নেতাকে পাঠানো হলো জেলে। অবশ্য ডিক্লাসিফাইড সিআইএ ডকুমেন্ট মতে, এটিই ছিল আমেরিকার প্রথম সাকসেসফুল ‘Regime Change Operation’। মোসাদ্দেককে সরিয়ে আমেরিকা বসিয়ে দিল তাদের পাপেট জেনারেল ফজলুল্লাহ জাহেদিকে; ফিরিয়ে আনল শাহ পাহলভীকে।
এরপর ইরানের চেহারা ড্রামাটিকভাবে বদলে গেল। শুরু হলো তথাকথিত আধুনিকায়ন। ৬০-৭০ এর দশকে তেহরান পরিচিতি পেল “মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের প্যারিস” হিসেবে। মেয়েরা বিকিনি পরছে, দেশে আসছে ইউরোপীয় জৌলুস। তেলের টাকায় উপচে পড়ছে অর্থনীতি—তৈরি হচ্ছে বিশাল বিশাল কলকারখানা আর হাসপাতাল।
কিন্তু মুদ্রার উল্টো পিঠ ছিল বীভৎস। এই উন্নয়ন ছিল কেবল ওপরতলার মানুষের জন্য। সাধারণ মানুষ দেখছিল তাদের ধর্মীয় ও সামাজিক মূল্যবোধ তাসের ঘরের মতো ভেঙে পড়ছে। সাথে ছিল শাহের কুখ্যাত গোপন গোয়েন্দা সংস্থা—সাভাক। শাহের বিরুদ্ধে টু শব্দ করলেই গুম, গ্রেফতার আর অকথ্য নির্যাতন প্রতিদিনের ঘটনা। ১৯৭৯ সালে এই পুঞ্জীভূত ক্ষোভ আগ্নেয়গিরি হয়ে ফেটে পড়ল। নেতৃত্বে আসলেন ধর্মীয় নেতা আয়াতুল্লাহ রুহোল্লাহ খোমেনি। ইসলামিক রেভ্যুলেশনের মুখে টিকতে না পেরে দেশ ছাড়লেন আমেরিকার বন্ধু শাহ। বীরের বেশে ফিরলেন খোমেনি; প্রতিষ্ঠিত হলো ইসলামিক রিপাবলিক অব ইরান। এই বিপ্লব শুধু সরকার নয়, বদলে দিল ইরানের ডিএনএ। জন্ম নিল গার্ডিয়ান কাউন্সিল—যাদের হাতে সংসদ বাতিল থেকে শুরু করে নির্বাচনে অযোগ্য ঘোষণা করার একচ্ছত্র ক্ষমতা। শুরু হলো থিওক্র্যাটিক বা ধর্মতাত্ত্বিক শাসন।
অনেকে মনে করেন খোমেনি আর খামেনি বাবা-ছেলে, কিন্তু তাদের সম্পর্ক ছিল গুরু-শিষ্যের। খোমেনি ছিলেন বিপ্লবের মহানায়ক, যিনি ১৯৮৯ পর্যন্ত নেতৃত্ব দেন। তাঁর মৃত্যুর পর হাল ধরেন শিষ্য আলী খামেনি। ১৯৮৯ থেকে ২০২৬-এর ২৮ ফেব্রুয়ারি, আমেরিকা-ইসরায়েল হামলায় নিহত হওয়ার আগ পর্যন্ত টানা ৩৬ বছর তিনিই ছিলেন ইরানের অপ্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী সুপ্রিম লিডার। পাহাড়সম নিষেধাজ্ঞার মুখেও ইরান টিকে আছে কীভাবে, তা কি জানেন? এর রহস্য হলো- রেজিস্ট্যান্স ইকোনমি বা প্রতিরোধের অর্থনীতি। ইরান হাত-পা গুটিয়ে বসে না থেকে তেল-নির্ভরতা কমিয়ে স্টিল আর সিমেন্টের মতো মৌলিক শিল্পে স্বয়ংসম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে। পশ্চিমা বিশ্ব আধুনিক অস্ত্র দেবে না জেনেই তারা তৈরি করেছে ২০ হাজার ডলারের ‘পকেট-ফ্রেন্ডলি’ শাহেদ ড্রোন, যা এখন কোটি টাকার মিসাইল ডিফেন্সকেও চ্যালেঞ্জ দিচ্ছে। আর তেলের বাজার সচল রাখতে গড়ে তুলেছে এক নিশ্ছিদ্র ‘ছায়া নেটওয়ার্ক’, যা ভাঙা মার্কিন গোয়েন্দাদের জন্যও প্রায় অসম্ভব। প্রতিকূলতাকে শক্তিতে রূপান্তর করাই হলো ইরানের টিকে থাকার আসল জাদু!
এবার বলি কখন থেকে ইরান আমেরিকার সাথে মহা সংঘাতে জড়ালো সেই প্রশ্নের উত্তর। ঘটনাটি ছিলো ১৯৭৯ সালের সেই কুখ্যাত ‘ইউএস এম্বাসি হোস্টেজ ক্রাইসিস’ বা মার্কিন দূতাবাস জিম্মি সংকট। তেহরানের মার্কিন দূতাবাসে ঢুকে ইরানি ছাত্ররা ৫২ জন আমেরিকানকে টানা ৪৪৪ দিন জিম্মি করে রাখল। এই ঘটনাই যথেষ্ট ছিল আমেরিকা আর ইরানকে ‘চিরশত্রু’ বানিয়ে দেওয়ার জন্য। আর সেই শত্রুতার রেশ ধরে আজকের ইরানকে বুঝতে হলে আপনাকে মূলত তিনটি রহস্যময় সমীকরণ মেলাতে হবে।
প্রথমটি হলো ‘পারমাণবিক ধোঁয়াশা’। ইরান বুক ফুলিয়ে দাবি করে, তারা পারমাণবিক শক্তি কেবল বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদনের জন্য ব্যবহার করছে। কিন্তু পেন্টাগন আর ইসরায়েলের দাবি—পর্দার আড়ালে আসলে পারমাণবিক বোমা বানাচ্ছে ইরান। এই তর্কের জেরে ইরানের ওপর চাপানো হয়েছে পাহাড়সম আন্তর্জাতিক নিষেধাজ্ঞা।
দ্বিতীয় সমীকরণটি আরও চমকপ্রদ, যাকে বলা হয় ‘প্রক্সি নেটওয়ার্ক’। ইরান খুব ভালো করেই জানে, আমেরিকার মতো সুপারপাওয়ারের সাথে সরাসরি যুদ্ধ করা মানেই নিশ্চিত ধ্বংস। তাই তারা বেছে নিয়েছে ‘রিং অফ ফায়ার’ স্ট্র্যাটেজি। লেবাননের হিজবুল্লাহ, গাজার হামাস কিংবা ইয়েমেনের হুথি—এমন সব শক্তিশালী গোষ্ঠীকে মদদ দিয়ে তারা শত্রুর চারপাশ ঘিরে এক আগুনের বলয় তৈরি করে রেখেছে। নিজের মাটিতে যুদ্ধ না এনে তারা যুদ্ধটাকে ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছে পুরো মধ্যপ্রাচ্য জুড়ে।
আর সবশেষ সমীকরণটি হলো ‘নিষেধাজ্ঞার কামড়’। দশকের পর দশক ধরে চলা পশ্চিমা নিষেধাজ্ঞায় ইরানের অর্থনীতি আজ পঙ্গুপ্রায়, মুদ্রাস্ফীতি আকাশচুম্বী, আর সাধারণ মানুষের জীবন ওষ্ঠাগত। কিন্তু অবাক করার মতো বিষয় হলো, এত চাপের মুখেও ইরানের জেদ কিন্তু একচুলও কমেনি; বরং এই অভাব আর প্রতিকূলতাকে সঙ্গী করেই তারা নিজেদের ডমেস্টিক ড্রোন আর মিসাইল প্রযুক্তিকে এমন এক উচ্চতায় নিয়ে গেছে, যা আজ খোদ আমেরিকার জেনারেলদের কপালে চিন্তার ভাঁজ ফেলে দিয়েছে।
আচ্ছা আপনারা কি জানেন, কেন ইরানকে নিয়ন্ত্রণে রাখতে চায় আমেরিকা?কারণটা গণতন্ত্র নয়, বরং কৌশলগত। যে ইরানকে রুখবে, সে আসলে বিশ্বের ‘এনার্জি লাইফলাইন’ বা হরমুজ প্রণালী নিয়ন্ত্রণ করবে। পৃথিবীর ২০% তেল পার হওয়া এই রুট বন্ধ হলে ধসে পড়বে বিশ্ব অর্থনীতি। রয়েছে মিত্র ইসরায়েলের নিরাপত্তা আর এশিয়ায় মার্কিন আধিপত্য নিশ্চিত করার তাগিদ। সোজা কথায়, এই লড়াই আদর্শের আড়ালে সম্পদ আর বিশ্ব-শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব দখলের লড়াই।
তাহলে ভিডিওর শুরুতে যে প্রশ্নটি করেছিলাম, আসল ভিলেন কে? এই পুরো ইতিহাস শুনলে কি মনে হয় ইরান শুরু থেকেই এমন ছিল? নাকি এটা ব্রিটিশদের সেই অন্যায্য তেল চুক্তি, সিআইএ-র সেই নোংরা ক্যু, আর শাহের নিষ্ঠুর দমননীতির রেজাল্ট। একটি প্রবাদ আছে- যতক্ষণ সিংহ নিজে তার ইতিহাস না লেখে, ততক্ষণ ইতিহাসে শিকারীর গৌরবই গাঁথা থাকবে। ইরানের গল্পটাও ঠিক তাই। তারা যখনই নিজের অধিকার চেয়েছে, পশ্চিমা মিডিয়া তাদের ভিলেন বানিয়ে দিয়েছে। লড়াইটা এখন আর শুধু ড্রোনের নয়, লড়াইটা এখন নিজের অস্তিত্ব প্রমাণের।

America-Iran War: Who is the Villain?
Well, imagine you are standing by the road chatting, when suddenly someone comes and snatches your wallet from your pocket. When you shout in protest, that thief points a finger at you and calls you a pickpocket! How would you feel then? This is exactly the strange and unjust thing the Western world has been doing to Iran for the last 100 years.
The whole world today thinks Iran is a ‘villain’ country. Some say it is the cradle of terrorism, some say it is the most controversial country in the world. But what if I say, this country is actually a victim of a massive international conspiracy? One who has been repeatedly cheated for the last hundred years, whose resources have been openly looted, and whose democratic rights have been snatched away, only to be portrayed as a ‘villain’ before the world!
In today’s video, we won’t take any sides; rather, we will turn over the dust-covered pages of history—to see how today’s rebellious Iran was created. This video might change your long-standing thoughts. So, I request you to watch until the end with an open mind.
Iran’s tragedy began in 1901. The villain of the story is British businessman William Knox D’Arcy. He signed an agreement with the then King of Iran—Shah Qajar—named the ‘D’Arcy Concession.’ The agreement was like this—Britain would take all the oil found on Iranian soil! Imagine, the resources are yours and someone else is taking the profit. In 1908, a huge oil field was found in Iran, but the fortune of the Iranian people did not open.
The British turned Iran into their ‘personal petrol pump.’ Hearing a calculation from 1931 will blow your mind. The British oil company made a profit of only 366,000 pounds that year, but they paid 1 million pounds in tax to the British government! This is the value of money from a hundred years ago; in today’s dollars, it might be a hundred times more! But the thing is, the owner of the oil, Iran, was given a pittance while Britain stuffed all the rest of the money into its own pocket. Is this business or robbery?
- The fiery leader Mohammad Mossadegh came to power. Upon becoming Prime Minister, he declared—“Iran’s oil belongs to the people of Iran!” His popularity shook the throne of Shah Pahlavi and tore off the mask of the West. Britain saw that discussion was futile, so it sought the help of ‘big brother’ America. The CIA and British intelligence together started ‘Operation Ajax.’ By inciting riots on the streets, a democratic leader like Mossadegh was sent to jail. According to declassified CIA documents, this was America’s first successful ‘Regime Change Operation.’ Removing Mossadegh, America installed its puppet General Fazlollah Zahedi; and brought back Shah Pahlavi.
After this, Iran’s appearance changed dramatically. The so-called modernization began. In the 60s and 70s, Tehran became known as the “Paris of the Middle East.” Girls are wearing bikinis, European glamour is coming to the country. The economy is overflowing with oil money—huge factories and hospitals are being built. But the other side of the coin was gruesome. This development was only for the upper-class people. Common people saw their religious and social values collapsing like a house of cards. Along with it was the Shah’s notorious secret intelligence agency—SAVAK. A single word against the Shah meant disappearance, arrest, and unspeakable torture became daily occurrences.
In 1979, this accumulated anger erupted like a volcano. Religious leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini took the lead. Unable to withstand the Islamic Revolution, the friend of America, the Shah, left the country. Khomeini returned as a hero; established the Islamic Republic of Iran. This revolution changed not just the government, but Iran’s DNA. The Guardian Council was born—which has the absolute power to cancel parliament and declare candidates ineligible for elections. Theocratic or religious rule began.
Many think Khomeini and Khamenei are father and son, but their relationship was that of teacher and disciple. Khomeini was the hero of the revolution, who led until 1989. After his death, his disciple Ali Khamenei took the helm. From 1989 until February 28, 2026, when he was killed in a US-Israel attack, he was Iran’s unrivaled Supreme Leader for 36 consecutive years.
Do you know how Iran is surviving despite mountain-like sanctions? The secret is—Resistance Economy. Instead of sitting idle, Iran has reduced oil dependency and become self-sufficient in basic industries like steel and cement. Knowing that the Western world would not provide modern weapons, they created the $20,000 ‘pocket-friendly’ Shahed drone, which is now challenging billion-dollar missile defenses. And to keep the oil market active, they have built a seamless ‘shadow network’ that is almost impossible even for US intelligence to break. Converting adversity into strength is the real magic of Iran’s survival!
Now let me answer the question of when Iran got involved in a major conflict with America. The event was the infamous ‘US Embassy Hostage Crisis’ of 1979. Iranian students entered the US embassy in Tehran and held 52 Americans hostage for 444 consecutive days. This event was enough to turn America and Iran into ‘arch-enemies.’
And following that enmity, to understand today’s Iran, you essentially have to solve three mysterious equations. The first is the ‘nuclear fog.’ Iran proudly claims they are using nuclear power only for electricity production. But the Pentagon and Israel claim—behind the scenes, Iran is actually making nuclear bombs. Due to this debate, mountain-like international sanctions have been imposed on Iran.
The second equation is even more fascinating, called the ‘proxy network.’ Iran knows very well that a direct war with a superpower like America means certain destruction. So they have chosen the ‘Ring of Fire’ strategy. By supporting powerful groups like Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Gaza’s Hamas, or Yemen’s Houthis—they have created a ring of fire surrounding the enemy. Without bringing the war to their own soil, they have spread the war across the entire Middle East.
And the final equation is the ‘bite of sanctions.’ Due to decades of Western sanctions, Iran’s economy is now almost paralyzed, inflation is skyrocketing, and the lives of common people are miserable. But the surprising thing is, even under such pressure, Iran’s stubbornness hasn’t decreased one bit; rather, taking this scarcity and adversity as companions, they have taken their domestic drone and missile technology to such a height that today it has caused wrinkles of worry on the foreheads of America’s own generals.
Do you know why America wants to keep Iran under control? The reason is not democracy, but strategy. Whoever stops Iran will actually control the world’s ‘energy lifeline’ or the Strait of Hormuz. The global economy would collapse if this route, through which 20% of the world’s oil passes, were closed. There is also the urge to ensure the security of ally Israel and US dominance in Asia. In short, this fight is a struggle for resources and world supremacy under the guise of ideology.
So, the question I asked at the beginning of the video: who is the real villain? After hearing this entire history, what do you think? Was Iran like this from the beginning?
